Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) ~ Please click on a question to reveal the answer.
Do I have to pay?
Yes if you are working. We do have a sliding scale of charges starting from £5 upwards. We are a Registered Charity and have to rely on our own fundraising activities and donations from clients in order to survive but we rarely, if ever, turn a client away if they cannot afford to pay something towards their counselling.
Do you do Saturday appointments?
Sorry – No, not at the moment. Our last appointment is usually 5.00 p.m. Monday to Friday.
How long does the therapy last?
As long as it takes for you to feel that you are empowered enough to get on with your life.
Do you do group therapy?
In the past we have tried this but as everyone who takes part may be at different stages of their journey from hurt to healing, group therapy can sometimes re-traumatise people if they have not fully resolved all their issues.
What if I am not comfortable with the counsellor I am seeing?
Please let the project manager know and arrangements will be made for you to see another counsellor. This will be done in confidence.
How do I remove my web browsing history?
Every web browser has a different way of doing this. Choose from the links below for how to do it. The links will open in a new browser window or tab.
What are cookies and how do I get rid of them?
A cookie, also known as an HTTP cookie web cookie, or browser cookie, is usually a small piece of data sent from a website and stored in a user’s web browser while a user is browsing a website.
When the user browses the same website in the future, the data stored in the cookie can be retrieved by the website to notify the website of the user’s previous activity.
